Paris – January 15, 2003 — Dominique Fagot has been appointed Chairman of the Supervisory Board of TKP, the parent company of CANAL+ Polska and the CYFRA+ satellite platform in Poland.

He will continue to serve as Executive Vice President, in charge of Benelux, Poland and the Nordic Countries of CANAL+Group and as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of MEDIA OVERSEAS.

Arnaud de Villeneuve will continue to serve as Chairman of the Management Board of CANAL+ Polska and CYFRA+ in Poland (TKP) and as Executive Vice President of MEDIA OVERSEAS.




Dominique Fagot began his career as an advertising manager before joining Havas in 1971. In 1981, he was selected to head advertising sales at the daily newspaper Nice Matin. In 1986, he was appointed Chief Executive of the daily newspaper Les Nouvelles de Versailles, then Chief Executive of the daily newspaper Le Republicain de l‘Essonne and Director of Havas Media Régions’ weekly publications.

In 1990, he became Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of MEDIA OVERSEAS, a subsidiary of HAVAS and then of VIVENDI UNIVERSAL, that now distributes four French-language satellite packages in the Indian Ocean region, the Caribbean, the South Pacific and Subsaharan Africa, as well as the CANAL+ premium channel in France’s overseas territories. Mr. Fagot was appointed Executive Vice President, in charge of Benelux, Poland and the Nordic Countries of CANAL+ Group in June 2002.
